Known as the birthplace of basketball, the sport was invented there in 1891 by Canadian-American graduate student James Naismith. To qualify for USTFCCCA All-Academic honors, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative GPA of 3.30 and must have finished the indoor season among the top 50 individuals or top 35 relay teams as listed on the descending order lists on TFRRS or accepted into the NCAA Indoor National Championship.For a team to be considered for this honor, it must have had a cumulative team GPA all student-athletes who used a season of eligibility must be at least a 3.1 on a 4.0 scale through the most recent semester/quarter,The mens' track and field program posted a cumulative grade-point average of 3.414 and was among the 150 Division III men's track and field programs recognized.
